How to Find Your Correct Bra Size at Home (No Measuring Tape Confusion)
A simple, no-fuss way to measure your band and cup size at home so you stop guessing between 34B and 36A.
Most of us are wearing the wrong bra size — not because bras are badly made, but because sizing charts vary and measuring at home feels confusing. Here is a simple way to get it right.
Step 1: Measure your band
Wrap a soft tape measure snugly around your ribcage, directly under the bust, keeping the tape level all the way around. Round to the nearest whole number. If it is even, add 4 inches; if odd, add 5 — this gives your band size.
Step 2: Measure your bust
Measure loosely around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape parallel to the floor. Subtract your band measurement from this number — the difference in inches maps to a cup size (1" = A, 2" = B, 3" = C, 4" = D, and so on).
Step 3: Check the fit, not just the number
The band should sit level and snug on the loosest hook, straps shouldn't dig in, and the centre gore should sit flat against your breastbone. If any of these feel off, size up or down even if the tape measure says otherwise.
